The Visual Arts department is rooted in the school’s vision that the discovery of personal meaning and the growth of individual identity can emerge from the rigors of study, of student centered inquiry and the development of a sensitive eye, a discerning mind and skillful hand.

The Middle School and High School both put on a musical production each year, providing opportunities to act, sing, dance, and create sets for the play. .

Each division has several opportunities to be involved in theatrical productions. Middle School students also perform in various plays as well as Shakespearean interpretations.

Music as non-verbal expression continues to say something universal, essential, and native to even the humblest of involved seekers. Music education, therefore, must stand alone as an important and necessary part of the total learning and growing process.

Heschel students produce award winning publications throughout the year. Helios, the High School's newspaper captures the temperature of the student body while the Middle School's Heschel Herald reports on student activities. Epitome, the award winning literary magazine is published annually
