Dear Parents,
On behalf of the Parents’ Association (PA) of the Abraham Joshua Heschel School, we are delighted to welcome you back to school!
The PA is comprised of Heschel parents, including Early Childhood, Lower School, Middle School, and High School. We foster communication between the parent body and the administration, faculty, and staff. Throughout the year, we engage families by creating and offering community-building and educational programs. We are excited about the many events and programs planned for this year. Please refer to PA Event Dates, Important Dates, and the school calendar on the Heschel website. Mark your calendars for important upcoming programs, such as Back to School nights, grade-wide informational gatherings with division heads, and community-wide celebrations.
Getting involved with the PA creates a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow parents and contribute to the school, no matter how much time you are able to give. We are always looking for volunteers to be part of the PA committees, and should you be interested, please complete the PA Volunteer Form. Throughout the year, we will post opportunities to volunteer at specific events and programs. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or suggestions at pa@heschel.org.
A new initiative this year is partnering with the school in facilitating sharing school- and grade-related information only, including event reminders and class/grade/school logistics. This communication will be conveyed via official WhatsApp groups created by class/grade parents at the beginning of the school year. The school's email, Veracross, and website remain the primary sources of information. These WhatsApp groups are an extension of our school community, and we ask that all members communicate in a way that reflects our school's Mission Statement.
