As part of their Habitat Symbiosis and Life Cycles unit Heschel’s Grade 3 scientists took learning outdoors, partnering with the Sarah Lawrence College Center for the Urban River at Beczak. Students used a 30-foot seine net to discover the river’s biodiversity, catching and releasing fish, crabs, jellyfish, and more.
