Grade 9 Hears From Eitan Armon

Grade 9 welcomed Eitan Armon to hear about his experience losing his eyesight. Eitan was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, or RP, a very rare and incurable genetic disease that gradually causes blindness over time, while serving in the Israeli army. Refusing to be limited by his limitations, Eitan approached his diagnosis with positivity and resilience, so much so that he took on the challenge of climbing El Capitan, a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park.  Eitan showed a clip of the film LookingUP, which documents his story and how he faced both his diagnosis and the climb of El Capitan. Additionally, Eitan was accompanied by his fiance, Tamar Arenson (‘15), for his presentation.
