Heschel Commemorates 10-7
The Heschel community marked October 7 through song, prayer, art, and stories of courage and survival. Early in the morning, community members gathered in the Beit Knesset for song and prayer. Fifth graders viewed artwork created by survivors and heard firsthand accounts of their experiences that day. Middle School students took part in a tekes (ceremony) that included songs, stories, and prayer. High School students gathered in the gymnasium for a student led program highlighting the heroic actions of Israelis who helped save lives during the October 7 attacks.
