High School Has a HESCHGIVING

Heschel High School’s Hesed and Tzedek Council launched a new tradition with the first HESCHGIVING. Student government representatives gathered to bake over 375 cookies for the Goddard Riverside Community Center’s Thanksgiving initiatives, contributing more than a third of the 1,000 cookies Goddard distributes as part of their Thanksgiving meals to community members facing food insecurity, housing challenges, and isolation. Students also wrapped utensils for holiday meals and wrote Thanksgiving cards to one another, bringing the values of gratitude, responsibility, and community to life.
