High School Continues Tzedek Learning
High School students continued their Tzedek themed programming this week. Each grade focused on topics around equity and justice. Rabbi Kendell Pinkney, a Brooklyn based playwright, producer, and rabbi, visited Grade 10 and performed a monologue and also spoke about his experience as a Black rabbi. Seth Siegel, former Heschel parent and Heschel board member, spoke with Grade 11 about his environmental justice work, particularly in relation to his book, “Let There Be Water: Israel's Solution for a Water-Starved World.” Grade 9 worked in small groups to continue their exploration of ASD (autism spectrum disorder).
