Spotlight: Grade 12 Tanakh Elective
Students in Rabbi Ezra’s Grade 12 Tanakh elective received brand-new copies of the Koren Hebrew-English Tanakh, with a contemporary translation produced by a team of Bible scholars including Rabbi Ezra.
Throughout the semester, the students will be moving from one passage to another as they trace arc of King David’s dynasty from the stories of Tamar and Ruth through the narratives of David’s life, culminating with messianic prophecies that imagine his dynasty’s restoration. The students will take these books with them at the end of the course, hopefully setting them on a trajectory to be lifelong Tanakh learners.
