GALLERY: Grade 6 Tim Burton Sculptures
Written By Gabriel Godin
Sixth graders studied the work of Tim Burton, exploring his distinctive style of strange and unusual characters who are often outcasts or misfits and who exist in worlds that blend whimsical, dark, and awkwardly humorous elements. Students created their own original Tim Burton inspired characters, thinking about what makes their character unique, strange, or different, and how those differences create challenges, as well as exploring their characters’ fears and greatest desires. They then brought these ideas to life through paper-mâché sculptures.
