Heschel Commemorates October 7th
Heschel students returned to school after observing Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah, holding space both to remember all those who were murdered by Hamas and to express the collective joy and hope we share with the release of all the remaining living hostages.
Early in the morning, parents gathered as a community to commemorate through song and prayer. Grades 4-8 took part in meaningful ceremonies, and Heschel High School came together for a special tekes/ceremony featuring a conversation with journalist Lee Yaron, author of 10/7: 100 Human Stories.
